Port de la Bonaigua is a grand high-Pyrenean crossing between the Val d'Aran and Pallars Sobirà, rising to 2,072 m. The 26.1 km climb from Esterri d'Àneu at 5.3% average features long, steady ramps with broad mountain views and high-altitude plateaus.
The climb is frequently used in Catalan cycling events and is one of the signature climbs for riders training in northeastern Spain. The road is well-maintained and the gradient is consistent, making it popular for endurance training.
